Last time I was in Banff National Park, in 2010, the road leading to this lake was closed. They close it for the season around mid October. This time I really wanted to be here with different lighting conditions. I came at sunrise to capture the light on the mountain peaks and I came at mid day to get the incredible colour of the lake. This is a very busy place, but is in my opinion one of the most scenic area of the Canadian Rockies.
